Updated: Oct 31, 2021

The switchback

The Cuckfield Branch of the CETS visited the Victoria Pleasure Gardens, Burgess Hill, on Thursday. The party mustered about 63 children and 20 adults, waggons conveying them to their destination. Those kindly lending ihe waggons were Captain Sergison, Mr RK Shuttleworth, Mr SR Clarke and Mr TI Symone.

'Victoria' on trials

Boating, the switchback and roundabout added to the enjoyment of all, and created an appetite for the excellent tea provided, unfortunately in returning home rain fell and drenched the party.
