A wood-carving class has been started at the Workhouse, and some of the elderly inmates display great talent in connection with the work. It is satisfactory to note that the Brabazon scheme has succeeded in brightening the lot of several aged inmates, and the ladies who direct the operations are highly pleased with the results so far attained.
