Sussex Agricultural Express - Saturday 14 July 1906

A ROAD IMPROVEMENT

FoIIowing on Mr Kleinwort's generous action in giving up a portion of his property to widen Little London-lane - which is dangerous to vehicular traffic - the urban authority have purchased a portion of Mr. Harmes' property, which will enable 9ft. of the sharp angle in Broad Street to be taken off.

It is then intended to place down 3ft. of asphalte kerbed paving in Little London-lane to connect with the Broad-street paving. The cost is estimated at about £45, and it is intended to ask the County Council and the Rural District Council to each contribute £5 towards the improvement.
