Buying or making Christmas presents must have been a challenge in the Feast household, as we learned when Susan Feast was buried in Cuckfield:

Mrs Susan Feast, who was buried here last week at the age of 92, had twelve children, thirty-seven grandchildren, fifty-nine great grandchildren and two great great granchildren. In her young days, when she lived at Thakeham, she made smock frocks at 1s. 3d. each.
