Having considered letters from the Women’s Section of the Cuckfield Labour Party and the Cuckfield Urban District Council suggesting a footway from Cuckfield Park Gates to Ansty, the Roads and Bridges Committee have recommended to the East Sussex County Council "that the construction of a footway on a part of the length of road in question be considered for inclusion in the programme of works for the year 1937-38”.
